Caleb Martin Will Miss Friday’s Contest
3 years agoMiami Heat small forward Caleb Martin (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Cavaliers due to a hyperextended left knee. Head coach Erik Spoelstra noted that while Martin pushed to suit up, the team made the call to give him at least one more day off. Without Martin on the second unit, Gabe Vincent and Max Strus figure to push their way back into the rotation, although the upside of either is severely capped by Victor Oladipo's presence. Martin has averaged career bests with 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 51.5% shooting this season, making him a viable season-long option in deep formats. His next chance to take the floor comes Saturday vs. Minnesota.
