Cameron Johnson Drops Career-High 38 Points
3 years agoPhoenix Suns small forward Cameron Johnson has stepped into a larger offensive role with Devin Booker and Chris Paul (thumb) sidelined, with Friday's performance marking the best scoring performance of his professional career. After getting into a tussle with the Knicks' Julius Randle, Johnson would go on to score 21 of his career-high 38 points in the fourth quarter, including knocking down a buzzer-beating three that delivered the Suns the victory. The nine made triples across just 28 minutes also set a new career best for Johnson, who has averaged 23.4 points per game while shooting 60.3% overall and 58.5% from behind the arc over his last five games.
