4 years agoPhoenix Suns small/power forward Cameron Johnson has already been ruled out for Friday’s contest against the San Antonio Spurs due to a quad contusion. His absence will mark his fourth straight game out of the mix, as Mikal Bridges continues to pick up a pile of minutes, while head coach Monty Williams gets creative with rotations to make up for the loss of shooting that comes with Johnson in street clothes. Johnson has some promise moving forward, but he has reached double-digits in scoring just twice in his last 12 outings, making him a fringe option even in deeper season-long formats. His next chance at suiting up comes Sunday against Memphis.--Jesse Borek
