Cameron Smith May Struggle At The Old Course
2 years agoCameron Smith comes into the Open Championship coming off a T10 finish at the Scottish Open last week. For Smith, it was his sixth top-10 finish of the season, but his first since the Masters in early April. Although a good result last week, Smith may struggle this week at the Old Course. Smith isn't long off the tee, averaging under 300 yards per drive. With that, Smith is outside the top-140 on tour in driving accuracy, hitting just over 57% of fairways. Smith, however, is one of the best putters on tour, which will be important. However, his struggles off the tee outweigh his putting and approach this week. Even with his fantastic season, Smith is a risky play at best.
