3 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals called up corner infield prospect Juan Yepez on Tuesday. Shortstop Edmundo Sosa was placed on the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move. Yepez is ranked as the team's No. 6 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline. The 24-year-old has yet to appear in the majors. He's spent the 2022 season at Triple-A, where he's slashed .281/.326/.634 with eight home runs, 23 RBI and 14 runs over 21 games. It's unclear what type of role he'll play with the team in the coming days, but he's very much worthy of a speculative add in all NL-only leagues.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
