Caris LeVert Scores 17 In Relaunch Loss
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard Caris Levert produced 17 points on a team-high 17 attempts throughout 28 minutes during the loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday afternoon. He also added seven assists, two boards, and a steal, while also turning the ball over four times. With Spencer Dinwiddie (illness), Taurean Prince (illness), DeAndre Jordan (illness), and Kyrie Irving (shoulder), among others, out of commission, the 24-year-old was tasked with being the primary option offensively for a team that is sorely lacking options. As Brooklyn attempts to gain ground heading toward the playoffs, LeVert will likely continue to serve as the focal point on the scoring end, likely leading to an increase in usage and statistical output for the remainder of the season.
