Carlos Tocci Activated Saturday
7 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Carlos Tocci was activated from the disabled list on Saturday. Tocci pinch ran for Nomar Mazara in Saturday's game, and nearly cost the Rangers a chance to win the game with some overly aggressive running in the ninth innings. The Rangers had to activate Tocci, who had run out of rehab time, or risk losing him due to the rule 5 rules. Tocci's fantasy value remains low, despite being activated, as his bat has been ice cold this season. Combined between the major leagues and Triple-A, Tocci has just eight hits in 58 plate appearances. For the time being Tocci will mostly be a defensive replacement or a pinch runner late in games, which makes him a tough player to use for fantasy purpose.
