Carmelo Anthony Has Season-High 14-Point Quarter
5 years agoIn the first quarter of a 125-104 win over the Washington Wizards, Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony came out firing with 14 points, his most in any quarter this season. The 10-time All-Star finished Wednesday's game with 25 points, five rebounds, two steals, and one assist in 32 minutes. The 14 points in the first quarter were more than he had scored in any of his last three games, so it was good to see him bounce back. Melo has been a pleasant surprise for those that took a chance on him earlier in the season. There are 19 games left in the regular season, and the 17-year veteran should provide a starting value for fantasy teams in 12-team leagues with 15 points and six or seven rebounds on a nightly basis.
