Casey Mize Starts Throwing Program Monday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers pitcher Casey Mize (elbow) began a throwing program in Lakeland on Monday. The 24-year-old is currently on the 10-day injured list with a medial elbow sprain. After being shut down the last two weeks, he will look to build up his pitch count. The right-hander owns a 5.40 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and a 4:2 K: BB across 10 innings in 2022. Mize is still weeks away from returning and is an injury stash in deep-league formats. Michael Pineda will remain in the starting rotation until Mize returns to action.
