3 years agoDetroit Tigers right-hander Casey Mize will start on Friday in a matchup with the Tampa Bay Rays. The rookie has pitched to a 3.66 ERA, a 4.84 FIP, 108 strikeouts, and 40 walks in 140.1 innings this season. Detroit has been limiting Mize's innings with shorter starters lately, so there isn't a ton of fantasy upside for Friday's start outside of the deepest leagues. Mize only threw two innings in his last start, against the same Rays he'll face on Friday, and gave up three hits, three earned runs, and a walk in two innings while striking out a pair.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
