3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Casey Mize is set to take the mound on Friday against the Kansas City Royals. Mize has pitched to a 3.64 ERA, a 4.78 FIP, 111 strikeouts, and 41 walks in 143.1 innings this season. The rookie was previously set to start against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday, but with the game postponed due to inclement weather, Mize will now take on Kansas City. It's a better matchup as the Royals have scored the ninth-fewest runs in the league. That being said, with the Tigers limiting Mize's innings in the form of shorter starts, he might not have much fantasy appeal outside of deeper leagues on Friday.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
