Cavs Hoping To Bring Back Ricky Rubio
2 years agoUnrestricted free-agent guard Ricky Rubio (knee) continues to rehab after tearing his left ACL in December. However, that doesn't seem to be stopping the Cavaliers from looking to add him back to the roster, assuming the price is right. The 31-year-old played 38 games for Cleveland last season, averaging a respectable 13.1 points, 6.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals. But after sustaining the injury, he was traded to Indiana ahead of the deadline. Nonetheless, although it may not be until January, it's unknown when Rubio will officially be available to return to the court. Still, if he ends up in Cleveland, he'll likely receive a generous serving of minutes off the bench. Additionally, factoring in Darius Garland and Collin Sexton's inability to stay healthy over the years, Rubio could also get some starts here or there in 2022-23.
