Celtics Select Romeo Langford
6 years agoThe Celtics selected Indiana guard Romeo Langford with the final lottery selection in the 2019 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old averaged 16.5 points and 5.4 boards throughout 32 games as a Hoosier but struggled from deep, averaging just 27 percent from that range. He possesses great size, but will need develop consistency on the defensive end of the ball. Nonetheless, with Kyrie Irving and Al Horford likely having played their final games in Boston, he can be a solid contributor off of the bench for a Celtics team that will be repackaged. He likely won’t be a viable asset for fantasy rosters, but he will have appeal at times, especially if he is afforded minutes due to injuries.
