Charlie Blackmon Goes Hitless In Thursday's Loss
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in a 7-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. The Rockies mustered just four hits against Giants starter Logan Webb and company and Blackmon did not collect one of them. The veteran outfielder has been scuffling at the plate over the last 15 games or so, slashing .220/.278/.340 with one home run and four RBI over his last 50 at-bats. Overall, he's got a .268/.353/.390 batting line with seven home runs, 51 RBI, and two stolen bases over 369 at-bats this season. He's been serviceable as a fantasy outfielder but underwhelming considering where he was drafted.
