3 years agoHouston Rockets center Christian Wood (illness) and power forward Jae'Sean Tate (ankle) have been ruled out for Friday's contest against Dallas. The absence marks the third in a row for Wood and second straight for Tate, with the duo paving the way for Alperen Sengun and Kenyon Martin Jr. to see significant minutes and offensive workloads. With Wood and Tate out Wednesday, both Sengun and Martin collected double-doubles and tied for the team lead with 40 minutes played. Wood was on an offensive tear prior to going down, averaging 24.7 PPG across his past three outings, while shooting 62.2 percent overall. The next chance that he or Tate will have to take the floor comes Sunday vs. the Pelicans.--Jesse Borek
