4 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward/center Christian Wood stepped up in the absence of Andre Drummond (mouth) during Wednesday’s win over the Sacramento Kings, collecting a team-best 23 points off the bench, making all seven shots that he attempted. His scoring output was boosted by a 9-for-11 performance from the free-throw stripe, as he also added three rebounds across his 25 minutes. While he has traditionally retained his bench role when Detroit is short-handed in the frontcourt, his uptick in usage soars, especially when Drummond is out of the mix. Should that remain the case Friday against Memphis, Wood is in play as a low-priced DFS option.--Jesse Borek
