3 years agoHouston Rockets center Christian Wood (illness) is expected to suit up for Sunday's contest against the Pelicans, ending a three-game stint on the sidelines due to an illness. Alperen Sengun was the primary beneficiary of Wood's absence, with the rookie likely to revert to his role among the second unit. Wood was enjoying an uptick in scoring prior to going down, having averaged 24.7 PPG over his last three outings. In addition to the scoring, Wood has snagged at least seven rebounds in 21 consecutive contests. In three prior meetings with New Orleans this season, Wood has accounted for at least 19 points and eight rebounds in each matchup.--Jesse Borek
