Christian Wood Reels Off Double-Double As Reserve
5 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward/center Christian Wood returned to the bench for Thursday’s defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks, but his removal from the starting five did little to affect his role. Wood led the team in scoring with 18 points, while snatching 11 rebounds, giving him his fourth double-double in his past five contests. His stat line was boosted by his 9-for-10 performance from the free-throw stripe, raising his average on the year to 74.6 percent. Wood figures to be a prominent fantasy option on a nightly basis down the stretch and should be rostered in all formats. His next outing comes Sunday against Portland, who has been susceptible to strong outings from opposing frontcourt players this season.
