4 years agoHouston Rockets power forward/center Christian Wood (ankle, personal) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Wizards, paving the way for DeMarcus Cousins to make his third consecutive start. A breakout star to this point in the season, Wood's nightly double-double threat has been sorely missed for Houston, paving the way for Victor Oladipo, John Wall and others to see increased offensive roles without Wood in the mix. Having been let out of practice Monday due to a personal matter, it's possible that he could get back on the floor as soon as Thursday when the team faces Portland for its next contest. Wood went for 31 points and 13 boards versus the Blazers when the two sides met in the season-opener.--Jesse Borek
