4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder/first baseman Cody Bellinger and shortstop Corey Seager will get the day off on Sunday against the Rockies. It's a bit annoying, considering both guys are off to good starts at the plate, particularly Seager, who has eight hits in three games, but manager Dave Roberts said he wants to get his guys rest early on in the season. It's something he also did on Saturday when Mookie Betts, Justin Turner, and Will Smith were all on the bench. Those three will return to Sunday's lineup, with Smith slated to be behind the plate. Roberts also said that Smith would be behind the plate for the first and third games in Oakland.--Tim Capurso
