Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy Not In Starting Lineup Saturday

2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger and infielder Max Muncy (knee) are both absent from the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the San Diego Padres. Muncy sat out Friday's game with a sore knee and isn't ready to return tonight. They'll likely let him heal up fully as the team gets ready for the playoffs. For Bellinger, it sounds like he is just getting a routine day off against a left-handed pitcher, although it should be noted that he has now sat two of the last three games. Hanser Alberto will patrol second base, Will Smith will handle DH duties, Austin Barnes is behind the plate, and Trayce Thompson will be in center field while the pair take the night off.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
