Cody Bellinger Out Of Starting Lineup For First Time
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger was not included in the team’s starting nine for Saturday’s contest against the D-backs and right-hander Luke Weaver. Edwin Rios essentially swaps into his spot in the lineup, although the hot-hitting Corey Seager moves up to the No. 3 hole. It’s been a frosty start to 2020 for Bellinger, who has hit .139 through his first eight games and owns a 6 OPS+, just a year after putting up a punishing 169 OPS+. His DFS price tag has remained inflated even as he works through his early season scuffles, making him a difficult recommend until he proves capable of catching fire. Owners will see him in the lineup come Sunday when Arizona is expected to send right-hander Merrill Kelly to the hill.
