6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Cole Hamels had yet another bad start in the month of July. The Rangers have been actively shopping Hamels over the last month, but his performances are making it extremely tough for a deal to get done. Hamels gave up seven earned runs in five innings, with nine hits and two walks, in this latest start. Over his last five starts Hamels has surrendered 25 earned runs in just 22 innings pitched, giving him a whopping 10.23 ERA for those starts. Three of those starts have come at home, where Hamels struggles more, but he has also given up seven earned in seven innings on the road in that span. Hamels fantasy owners will likely see a boost if the left-handed pitcher is traded, as there are not many worse places to pitch than Texas in July and August.--Ben Rolfe
