6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Cole Hamels did not set the world on fire with his outing Friday in Baltimore. Hamels did pick up his fifth win of the season, but he surrendered four earned runs on five hits and a walk. Perhaps more concerning for the Rangers is that Hamels struck out just three batters in his 6 1.3 innings. The Rangers are hoping that Hamels can pitch well for the remainder of July so they can get as much value for him as possible when they trade him. For fantasy owners the prospect of Hamels ending up in a better pitching environment than Texas, makes him worth owning, despite his 4.36 ERA this season.--Ben Rolfe
