5 years agoThe Chicago Cubs have optioned pitcher Adbert Alzolay to Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday. Although Alzolay was shelled on Monday to the tune of seven runs, the prospect pitched fairly well in his other appearances, both out of the bullpen and as a starter. The Cubs needed arms for Tuesday and there is still a good chance that Alzolay could replace Cole Hamels (oblique) in the rotation.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
