Dairis Bertans Fires Up Nine Triples Off Bench
6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans shooting guard/small forward Dairis Bertans saw a career-high 22 minutes in Sunday’s defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers, firing up nine three-point attempts, two of which found the bottom of the net. The 29-year-old Bertans was signed earlier this month, the sharpshooting brother of another marksman, Davis Bertans of the San Antonio Spurs. Dairis has gotten well acclimated to the NBA's three-point line, with 20 of his 26 field-goal attempts having come from behind the arc. He’s likely to continue seeing some run over New Orleans’ final four games and could be seen as an add in category leagues for owners desperate to for made triples.
