4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Dakota Hudson was hit hard in his first outing of 2020. Facing the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, Hudson allowed seven hits, a walk and four earned runs over 4 1/3 innings. He suffered the loss in the game as the team fell 5-1. Hudson had a solid 2019 campaign, going 16-7 with a 3.35 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. He isn't a high strikeout pitcher as he recorded just 136 strikeouts in 174 2/3 innings last year, but he has shown an ability to limit run production. He should be owned in just about all leagues. Hopefully he'll rebound in his next start, which is slated for Sunday on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
