3 years agoToronto Raptors point guard Dalano Banton (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. Philadelphia due to a right knee contusion. Banton made his first NBA start Sunday with the Raptors' backcourt depth extremely thin due to injuries and the league's health and safety protocols, with Malachi Flynn now in line to play a significant ball-handling role, even as he has a minutes cap. Banton has largely carved out a niche for himself among Toronto's second unit, but at just 4.3 points and 2.4 boards per outing, he has not yet cracked the season-long fantasy radar. His absence also figures to funnel minutes toward Gary Trent Jr., Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, and Yuta Watanabe, with his next chance to suit up coming Friday against the Clippers.--Jesse Borek
