Dalvin Cook Notches Third Straight 100-Yard Game
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook rushed 16 times for 110 yards and a touchdown in a 34-14 route over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Cook also caught 4-of-5 targets for 33 yards in the contest. He would have had an even bigger day if not for Alexander Mattison and receiver Adam Thielen vulturing rushing scores. The new Gary Kubiak zone-blocking scheme seems to be a great complement to Cook's great vision and explosive one-cut running style as he leads the league in rushing yards (375), yards/attempt (6.6), and rushing touchdowns (four) through Week 3. Cook has clearly emerged as a dependable high-end RB1 and needs to be started as such in next week's road tilt against the Chicago Bears.
