5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard will find his way to rack up points on a nightly basis and Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks was no different. Lillard shot just 1-for-7 from behind the arc, but he made 10 of the 20 shots that he took from the field overall, getting him to 28 points in the team’s win. The All-Star guard also added five assists and three rebounds, so while it was far from his most dominant outing, the fact that he has attempted at least 20 field goals in each of his three outings to open the year is promising. He runs it back Monday against the San Antonio Spurs, whom he has dominated to the tune of 26.8 points per game in his career, the second most of any opponent.--Jesse Borek
