5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard had a team-high 22 points in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night. Lillard posted all 22 of his points in the first three quarters before missing all four of his shots in the final frame. Lillard has been on fire to start the season, averaging 30 points, 7.1 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals. However, against a suffocating Clippers defense, he was held to a season-low 22 points. Lillard will look to bounce back against two favorable matchups over the weekend with the Nets and Hawks in town. Both teams are below-average against opposing point guards, and Lillard will be eager to take advantage and continue his career year.--Euan Leith
