4 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard was unstoppable on Wednesday night in a 126-124 win over the Pelicans. Lillard scored 43 points with 16 assists- which matched his career-high- adding seven triples, four rebounds, a block, and a steal in 38 minutes. The Weber State product has been simply amazing lately, as he's averaged 35.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 8.6 assists, 4.5 triples, and 1.1 steals per game on 46.0/39.0/93.0 shooting splits across 14 games since the C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic injuries. He's a deserving candidate for the MVP of the league- as well as the MVP of all fantasy managers who drafted him. Lillard scored 32 points in his first meeting with Saturday's opponent, the Wizards.--Tim Capurso
