Damian Lillard Hits Five Threes In The First Quarter
5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard had a strange night on Monday. He carried his team to a huge 19-point lead in the first half with five made threes and 16 points in the first quarter. After that, he did not make another three-pointer the entire game and was contained to 17 points over the final three frames. Lillard finished the evening with 33 points, seven assists, five rebounds and one steal. He shot 10-for-20 from the field, 5-for-12 from behind the arc and made eight of his 12 free-throw attempts. He has scored at least 30 points in five of his previous seven games and continues to be Portland's primary offensive weapon as they start a five-game road trip to kick off 2020.
