Damian Lillard Will Miss Friday’s Contest
4 years agoPortland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard (hamstring) has been given the thumbs down to take the floor for Friday's game against the Spurs due to right hamstring tendinopathy. The absence will mark just the third all season for Lillard, who figures to cede minutes at the PG spot to Anfernee Simons, who stands to be a DFS cash play darling despite coming off the bench. Derrick Jones Jr. will draw the start in place of Lillard, but he has proven to be a finicky fantasy cog due to his lack of offensive contributions. In addition, C.J. McCollum is in line to lead the offense without Lillard in the mix. Having struggled to the tune of just 38.5 percent from the field overall in seven April contests, Lillard will have until Sunday versus Charlotte before he'll need to try and suit up again.
