Dane Dunning Could Make Major League Debut Wednesday
4 years agoChicago White Sox right-handed pitcher Dane Dunning is in the mix to potentially start Wednesday against Detroit, per manager Rick Renteria. Dunning, the White Sox No. 5 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has been working at the team’s alternate training site. Across Class A Advanced and Double-A in 2019, Dunning compiled a 2.71 ERA in 15 starts, striking out 100 batters in 86 ⅓ innings with just two home runs yielded. A former first-round pick of the Nationals in 2016, Dunning could be an exciting DFS play, as he would face a Detroit offense that has the fourth-worst team on-base percentage (.298) in the Majors.
