Dane Dunning Pitches Well In No-Decision Thursday
4 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Dane Dunning recorded his second quality start of the season on Thursday, tossing six scoreless innings in a 2-0 loss to the Yankees. Dunning held the Yankees to four hits and one walk, while his six strikeouts marked the seventh time in nine starts that Dunning has recorded at least five strikeouts. While he has looked inconsistent over his past few starts, Thursday's performance looked closer to his first three starts in which he allowed just one run over 15 innings of work. Going forward Dunning is a solid streaming option in most formats, and if he can get a little more consistency going on the mound he could turn into a pitcher that's worth rostering full-time.
