Dane Dunning Shines In Third Start Of Season
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Dane Dunning had another excellent start on Saturday during the club's 6-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. The rookie right-hander threw six shutout innings and did not issue a walk. He allowed five hits and struck out five batters. Dunning succeeded by throwing quality strikes and 53 of his 75 pitches (71%) hit the strike zone. The 26-year-old has just one win this season but his ERA sits at 0.60 through three starts and he has a K-BB of 16-2 in 15 innings. Dunning may have his innings and pitch counts watched closely in 2021 as he had Tommy John surgery in 2019. Even so, he's a must-have in all fantasy formats.
