D'Angelo Russell Compiles Team-High 26 Points
5 years agoGolden State Warriors point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell finished with 26 points on 9-for-23 shooting during Wednesday’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. After being firmly held in check his last time out, Russell attempted to get his shot going, ultimately finishing 5-for-12 from behind the three-point line. He also finished as the team’s leading assist (seven) and block (two) man on the night. Amidst any trade rumors circulating about Russell, it’s tough to argue that his highest fantasy value would come from remaining with the Warriors, whom he is on pace to set a new career high for in scoring with 21.8 points per contest. He's heading into an advantageous meeting Friday versus New Orleans, who have had difficulty slowing any opposing backcourt this year.
