4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell caught fire off the bench in Tuesday's 134-120 win over the Kings. Russell shot 10-for-13 from the field and 6 of 8 from downtown en route to 28 points in just 25 minutes off the bench. The 25-year-old added six assists and three rebounds. Russell had gone four games without scoring 20-plus points, so it was nice to see him put forth a prolific scoring effort. Head coach Chris Finch told reporters that he wants Russell to rejoin the starting five, a move that would be easy to make if the latter plays more games like this. A rematch against the Kings awaits on Wednesday.--Tim Capurso
