D'Angelo Russell Drops Game-High 25 Points During Victory
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell remained the focal point of his team's offense during its win Saturday over the Jazz as he compiled a game-best 25 points on 9-for-21 shooting. In addition to knocking down three triples, Russell accrued six assists to just two turnovers in his 34 minutes. With much of Minnesota's offense running through his hands, Russell carries premium upside on a nightly basis no matter the opponent. Having averaged a career-high 23.1 PPG last year, it wouldn't be a stretch to see Russell increase upon that number considering his role. He takes on his former team, the Lakers, on Sunday, whom he has traditionally dished out assists against at an elite rate (8.8 per game).
