D'Angelo Russell Finishes With Season-Low Five Points In Loss
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell was befuddled by the Orlando Magic on Friday, finishing 2-for-14 from the floor overall. Russell ultimately finished with a season-worst five points, as his five rebounds and three assists did little to bail out his stat line. Oddly enough, the outing served as the first time all season that Russell did not record a turnover, which is a positive moving forward. Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) will be out until at least late March, paving the way for Russell to remain both the club’s No. 1 scoring and ball-handling option beginning Sunday versus the Pelicans, who play at a breakneck pace.
