7 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell played just 23 minutes in his team's 13-point loss to the Boston Celtics. Russell managed just 11 points on 5-for-12 shooting while knocking down one of five attempts from deep and managed three assists and a single steal on the night. Russell had a rather disappointing season with high hopes coming into this season's campaign. Only suiting up in 48 games because of injury, he finished the year averaging 15.5 points, 5.2 dimes and 3.9 rebounds while shooting a rough 41.4 percent from the floor. Many thought it was going to be his breakout season, and it will be interesting to see if he comes back next season like the player the Nets hoped for while dealing for him.--Gianni Costantiello
