D'Angelo Russell Reclaims Shooting Touch In 32-Point Outing
5 years agoGolden State Warriors point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell found his offensive rhythm during Wednesday’s defeat to the New York Knicks, finishing with 32 points on 12-for-27 shooting overall. The performance marked Russell’s first explosive scoring showing since returning from injury, as he knocked down 6-for-14 from behind the arc, also pitching in six assists, three rebounds and two steals. He was the unquestioned No. 1 scoring option for Golden State with the team back to its new level of full health, which bodes well for owners relying upon Russell’s shot volume moving forward. He next faces a traditionally stingy Utah defensive unit Friday, whom he dropped 33 points against back on Nov. 11.
