D'Angelo Russell Scores 22 Points In Debut
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell (quad) made his debut after being traded from Golden State to Minnesota on Thursday — as he finished with 22 points, five assists and one steal on 7-for-12 shooting from the field and 4-for-5 from three-pointers in Monday's 137-126 loss against the Raptors. The 23-year-old got off to a productive start and made multiple deep three-pointers throughout the contest, while keeping the Timberwolves in the game for the majority of the night. Russell will look to build on the success he enjoyed as a member of the Warriors, where the fifth-year guard put together averages of 23.6 points, 6.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds on 43% shooting from the field and 37% from three-point range through 33 games. Russell should be started across all fantasy formats when the Timberwolves take on the Hornets prior to the All-Star break on Wednesday.
