5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell scored 27 points on nine of 18 shooting in a win over the Heat on Wednesday, also chipping in six assists, five rebounds and three steals. This was a classic hot-hand performance from Russell, who nailed seven of his 14 attempts from beyond the arc, marking back-to-back 20-point outings after missing a game against Denver. Without Karl-Anthony Towns for the foreseeable future, Minnesota will ask a lot from Russell at the offensive end.
