5 years agoGolden State Warriors point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell is nearing a return to action and has been listed as questionable to play in Wednesday’s contest versus the Charlotte Hornets. Russell has been dealing with a right thumb sprain that has kept him sidelined for each of the team’s previous nine outings, paving the way for Alec Burks and others to take on an increased offensive role for the depleted Warriors. How head coach Steve Kerr would tinker with the rotations upon Russell’s return remains to be seen, but check back prior to tip-off to get the final word on the star’s status.--Jesse Borek
