D'Angelo Russell To Be Held Out For Sunday’s Game
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell (rest, knee) will miss Sunday’s contest versus the Denver Nuggets. Russell missed practice Saturday reportedly due to knee maintenance, with the team opting to keep him out of the mix for the first leg of a back-to-back. Jordan McLaughlin figures to enter the starting five in Russell’s place and see a considerable workload at the point guard spot. Additionally, Malik Beasley and Naz Reid figure to see large offensive roles with Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) also unavailable. Russell can firmly be considered questionable for Monday’s matchup against Dallas.
