D'Angelo Russell Will Miss Monday’s Contest
5 years agoGolden State Warriors point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a quad contusion. Jacob Evans will enter the starting five in place of Russell, although Alec Burks and others could see an uptick in offensive usage without the Warriors’ leading scorer available. Russell’s name has come up in trade discussions ahead of Thursday’s Trade Deadline, which could drastically alter his value over the final two-plus months of the year. His next chance to take the floor comes Wednesday when he returns to Brooklyn for the first time since being dealt by the Nets over the summer.
