D'Angelo Russell Will Miss Saturday’s Contest
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard D'Angelo Russell (quad) has been ruled out for Saturday's game versus Oklahoma City as he continues to work through a quad contusion. Russell missed three games due to the ailment back in January, but had returned to play in each of Minnesota's past five contests. Ricky Rubio will enter the starting five in place of Russell and see increased DFS appeal, while Malik Beasley will hold down the role of primary scorer with Karl-Anthony Towns (health and safety protocols) also unavailable. The next chance that Russell will have at returning comes Monday against the Mavericks.
