4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy was tagged for four earned runs over five innings in Wednesday's start against the Detroit Tigers. He pounded the strike zone in the start, recording strikes on 54 of his 75 pitches. He tallied eight strikeouts and just one walk in the game. Duffy is yet to make it past the fifth inning through two starts this year, which isn't too surprising. He's always struggled to manage his pitch count even when he's been his most effective. Still, he's a strong strikeout pitcher and should be owned in just about all leagues. His next start is slated for Monday against the Chicago Cubs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
